I have a trust and conviction that together, we can work with a greater sense of common purpose to preserve the dreams of Physicians of Pakistani Descent in North America.

I have a strong belief that future of APPNA can be brighter and better than the present and I feel it is our moral responsibility to make it so. This fundamental principle has guided me in my career to serve APPNA.

It was the same dream that inspired me to help lay the foundation of APPNA Northern California Chapter in 1999 and subsequently serve in various capacities in APPNA and KEMCAANA.

It was the same spirit of service that introduced me to you as a candidate for Treasurer APPNA in 2009 and as Secretary APPNA in 2010. I have been humbled by your overwhelming support every single time I have knocked on your door.

During my years of service, I have come across the successes and challenges facing APPNA. Our biggest challenge was when APPNA's fund raising abilities as not for profit organization were put to a halt last year. I worked hard as Treasurer not only to help pull APPNA out of this abyss but also laid a strong foundation of transparent book keeping and greater sense of fiscal responsibility. Indeed, last year was one of the most financially favorable years in APPNA's history.

My campaign is of ideas, philosophy and achieving results; not of slogans. It is of Change: And change we must for better opportunities for members, for better governance of APPNA, for better election practices, for rigorous adherence to the bylaws, for greater transparency and for strict fiscal responsibility. To effect this change I will lead by example.
